WINDERMERE, Fla. – Leonardo Escorpioni heads into the next round of the USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire championship this weekend at the Milwaukee Mile sitting second in the championship while heading into the final oval event on the 2026 schedule.

Escorpioni, like his peers, will enter the weekend with limited experience at the historic Wisconsin oval, along with his competition, providing an even playing field for the race. While this will be his first race at the Milwaukee Mile, he did participate in a series test at the circuit in June, giving him valuable track time ahead of this weekend's championship event.

The Milwaukee Mile is one of the oldest continuously operating motor racing facilities in the world, with racing taking place at the venue since 1903. The 1.015-mile oval features four turns and a unique combination of long straightaways and tight corners that places a premium on precision, consistency and setup.

For Escorpioni, the weekend presents another opportunity to build on a strong 2026 campaign as he looks to find his way back to the top of the championship standings. With the title battle entering its final stages, every point will be critical as the series returns to oval competition.

“I'm really looking forward to Milwaukee,” expressed Leonardo, an HMD Motorsports Development Driver. “This will be my first race there, so the test we had back in June was really important for me to get comfortable with the track and understand how the car behaves on an oval. We're going into the weekend second in the championship, so the goal is to stay focused and maximize every opportunity for points. It's a different kind of racing than the road courses, but I'm excited for the challenge and ready to get to work with the team.”

With the championship lead on the line and the final oval event of the season ahead, Escorpioni will look to turn his previous Milwaukee test experience into another strong result as the 2026 USF Pro 2000 championship battle enters its final rounds. The weekend will begin Friday with two practice sessions, giving Escorpioni and his team an opportunity to fine-tune the car ahead of Saturday's competition. Single-car qualifying will take place Saturday before the weekend's race.
