PITTSBORO, Ind. — TJ Speed Motorsports will make its first-ever visit to the Milwaukee Mile on August 28-29, as Thomas Schrage and Jeshua Alianell represent the team when the USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire championship returns to the historic one-mile oval for the first time in more than a decade. The event runs alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and marks the second and final oval round of the 2026 season for TJ Speed, following the team’s earlier trip to Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in May.
Widely regarded as the oldest continuously operating speedway in the world, the Milwaukee Mile has a long history with the Road to Indy ladder, including races at this level of competition under the Star Mazda banner more than a decade ago. But for the current USF Pro 2000 field, the historic mile is unfamiliar ground — meaning Schrage, Alianell and the rest of the paddock will be working through the oval’s high-speed, low-grip characteristics for the first time in race trim, adding an extra layer of challenge — and opportunity — to the weekend.
Schrage arrives at Milwaukee off the back of his strongest weekend of the season at the Markham, Ontario street circuit, and will look to bring that same pace to a new type of circuit. Alianell, who made his USF Pro 2000 debut earlier this season at Road America, continues to build oval experience with every outing and sees Milwaukee as another step forward in his rookie campaign.
“Getting the chance to race at a place with as much history as the Milwaukee Mile is a special opportunity for this team,” said TJ Speed Owner Tim Neff. “It’s been a long time since cars at this level have turned a lap there, so realistically nobody in our current field has raced it before. It really comes down to who adapts the fastest. Thomas has shown strong speed all year, and Jeshua keeps taking steps forward every time he’s in the car. I like our chances of leaving Milwaukee with a good result for both of them.”
TJ Speed Motorsports will compete August 28-29 at the Milwaukee Mile, sharing the bill with the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, before closing out the 2026 season with a return trip to Road America September 24-26.
