BELMONT, N.C. – USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire traveled to the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway to race alongside the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in rounds six, seven and eight of the 2024 season. Turn 3 Motorsport driver Danny Dyszelski fought forward on the yard of bricks to take home some solid results and will now set his sights on the only oval race of the season in two weeks.

In the sole practice session of the weekend, Dyszelski had a strong pace, finishing as the sixth-fastest driver of the session. However, Dyszelski qualified 17th, meaning he would start near the back of the pack for race one. Based on his second-best qualifying times, he would start races two and three from 15th and 16th, respectively.

“We had some issues in qualifying, and I was called to pit for my second set of tires a lot later than the other drivers,” explained Dyszelski. “With that, and a red flag, I was unable to do the necessary push laps which hindered our speed and final results.”

In race one, Dyszelski was able to fight forward from his starting position of 17th, ultimately finishing just outside of the top-ten in 11th. In race two Saturday morning, Dyszelski started 15th and battled his way up through the field again, crossing the finishing line in the top-ten in eighth.  Race three ended early for Dyszelski as he suffered from an issue on lap 17 and was forced to retire from the event.

“It would have been nice to finish in the top-ten, but I’m glad we were able to move forward during race one. Starting 17th and finishing 11th isn’t a bad day,” said Dyszelski. “We had a solid top-10 finish for us in race two, as we made our way forward again, and I’m proud of this result.”

Dyszelski added, “The result in race three was not the end of the weekend we wanted after being hit on lap one and bending something in the steering, which eventually broke later in the race. Still, a huge thank you to everyone at Turn 3 Motorsport for their hard work this weekend; it was a great experience to race around IMS.”

Dyszelski will return to Indiana at the end of the month for round nine of the USF Pro 2000 Championship at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on May 23-24.
