ELKHART LAKE, Wis. – Leonardo Escorpioni closed out his 2026 USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire campaign with a pair of podium finishes at Road America, finishing third, second and fourth across the season-ending tripleheader to secure second in the championship standings. The Turn 3 Motorsports driver arrived at the 4.014-mile Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, circuit trailing the points leader by 17 with three races remaining and kept the pressure on through the final round of the season.
Escorpioni opened the weekend in strong fashion, bringing his Turn 3 Motorsport entry home third in Race 1 to keep himself firmly in the title fight. He went one better in Race 2, crossing the line second for his second podium in as many races. In Race 3, the final round of the season, Escorpioni took the checkered flag in fourth to lock up runner-up honors in the championship.
The result caps an impressive season for the Brazilian, who finished second in the standings despite missing two rounds earlier in the year at Markham, Canada. Escorpioni battled back throughout the second half of the season, including a runner-up finish at the Milwaukee Mile heading into the finale, to put himself in championship contention on the final weekend.
“It was a difficult weekend, but in the end, we finished second in the championship, despite missing two races,” commented Escorpioni. “I am thankful for the opportunity that Turn 3 Motorsport has provided me. A huge thanks to them and all my partners for a successful and multi-race winning season.”
With the 2026 season now complete, Escorpioni turns his attention to the next step in his racing career.
“I am excited to see what is next for me and will hopefully have a deal in place soon,” added Escorpioni.
