WINDERMERE, Fla. – Leonardo Escorpioni made a statement in his USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire debut on the Streets of Arlington, Texas, capturing victory in the opening race of the weekend with Turn 3 Motorsports. Working with his current USF2000 engineer, Leonardo used the weekend to gain even more experience.

Escorpioni, who is competing full-time in the USF2000 championship with Zanella Racing in 2026, entered the USF Pro 2000 event to gain additional seat time and experience as he continues his development on the USF Pro Championships ladder. The rookie quickly proved he was up to the challenge, delivering a breakthrough performance against the more experienced field.

Qualifying second for Race 1, Escorpioni launched into contention from the front row and executed a strong race to secure the first USF Pro 2000 victory of the season. Working closely with his Zanella Racing engineer Ernie Gonella and driver coach Victor Franzoni throughout the weekend, Escorpioni was able to maximize his performance and capitalize on the opportunity.

“I’m extremely happy to come away with the win this weekend,” said Escorpioni. “We came into Arlington mainly looking for extra seat time to help with my USF2000 season, but the pace we had was incredible. Huge thanks to Turn 3 Motorsports for the opportunity, and to Ernie Gonella and Victor Franzoni for their support and guidance. Winning my first race in USF Pro 2000 is something really special.”

For Race 2, Escorpioni once again started from the front row after qualifying second. While the race proved more challenging, the young driver continued to gain valuable experience in the higher-powered machinery and ultimately crossed the line in eighth place to cap off a productive weekend.

Escorpioni will continue his primary focus on the USF2000 Championship with Zanella Racing throughout the 2026 season, though additional appearances in the USF Pro 2000 Championship remain a possibility as he looks to build more experience.

His next race weekend will take place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 7–9, where the USF2000 Championship returns to the legendary circuit. Prior to the event, Escorpioni will participate in a series test at Indianapolis in April as preparations continue for the next round of the season.
