WESTFIELD, Ind. - Sebring International Raceway was the site of rounds three and four in the USF Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires program as Miller Vinatieri Motorsports (MVM) and their single-car entry of Jack William Miller descended into the Sebring, Florida facility. Looking to improve upon their St. Petersburg results from two weeks prior, MVM left Florida with momentum on their side after scoring a sixth-place result, a 10-position gain from qualifying the day prior.

“It was a good end to the weekend,” explained Miller. “We managed to earn good points in race two, but still lack some speed needed to run at the front of the field. We now have some time off so I know the boys in the shop will be working hard to ensure that we have what it takes to win the next one.”

In a quick two-day show that featured one practice session, qualifying and race one on Friday, qualifying and race two were on the docket on Saturday with Miller improving on both days of competition.

With a couple of red flags in qualifying one and unable to lay down a fast lap, Miller slotted into the 16th position for the start of race one as he looked to move forward from the outside of row eight. Staying out of trouble and earning a lap time that clocked him well inside the top 10 on the speed charts, Miller piloted his Patterson Dental-branded entry to an 11th-place finish.

Saturday provided another qualifying session that set the grid for race two and once again, a red flag caught Miller out, this time with a P13 effort in qualifying. With the experience of driving through the pack the day prior, Miller did just that in race two avoiding carnage all while showing increased pace as he drove to an impressive sixth-place finish on route to earning the Tilton Hard Charger Award for the fourth round of the USF Pro 2000 Presented by Cooper Tires.

Miller added, “We are a single-car effort competing against two and three-car teams with much more data. We will take the momentum gained from this weekend and take it into our next two events which are my home two races in Indy.”

With six weeks off, Miller will now shift his focus to the May 11-13 event weekend at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the site of a handful of podiums for the MVM program. Following that, Miller will battle the short oval at Lucas Oil Raceway, both events just minutes from their Westfield, Indiana-based race shop.
