A decisive victory for Spencer Pigot in Saturday’s Allied Building Products Pro Mazda Oval Challenge enabled the talented youngster to claim an 18-point lead in the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires with just two races remaining next week at Sonoma Raceway in California.

As a healthy group of his enthusiastic fans in the Milwaukee Speedway grandstands cheered their approval, Rising Star Racing driver Spencer Pigot made the most of a lap 42 restart to grab the lead of the Allied Building Materials 100, and the championship-leading driver never looked back as he scored his sixth win of the 2014 Pro Mazda presented by Cooper Tires season.

A late charge netted a fine podium result for Shelby Blackstock after Andretti Autosport teammate Garett Grist clipped the wall in the closing stages.

The Allied Building Products Pro Mazda Oval Challenge at the Milwaukee Mile appropriately boiled down to a duel between Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires title rivals Spencer Pigot and Scott Hargrove.
