Kucharczyk joins Cameron and Schrage for USF Pro 2000 Carb Night Classic

PITTSBORO, Ind. — TJ Speed will roll into Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park this week for the Carb Night Classic, marking the first of two USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire oval events on the 2026 schedule. The team will field a three-car effort, with drivers Christian Cameron and Thomas Schrage joined by INDY NXT by Firestone rookie Tymek Kucharczyk, who will make his oval debut in a TJ Speed entry.

The team returns to the .686-mile oval with momentum and history on its side, as Ariel Elkin captured the 2025 Freedom 90 with TJ Speed, giving the program a recent winner's trophy from this very event and adding extra motivation as the team chases another Carb Night Classic victory.

Cameron enters the weekend ninth in the USF Pro 2000 championship standings, with Schrage close behind in 11th. Both drivers are coming off encouraging runs at the Indianapolis Grand Prix, where Cameron delivered a fourth-place finish in Race 1 and Schrage scored a pair of top-10 results — momentum the team is looking to carry onto the oval.

For Kucharczyk, the Carb Night Classic represents a valuable opportunity to log oval laps in a competitive environment before tackling three upcoming INDY NXT oval rounds with HMD Motorsports. The USF Pro 2000 event will give the rookie a chance to acclimate to the unique demands of oval racing — traffic management, line selection and race-pace strategy — in a proven TJ Speed chassis.

"We're excited to bring three strong drivers to Indianapolis Raceway Park this weekend," said Tim Neff, Owner of TJ Speed. "Christian and Thomas have both shown great pace recently, and the Indianapolis Grand Prix gave us a lot to build on heading into our first oval of the year. Adding Tymek to the program for this event is a great opportunity for him to get meaningful oval experience before his INDY NXT oval rounds. We've had success at this event before — winning the Freedom 90 last year with Ariel Elkin — and our team has put in the work to prepare three competitive cars. We're ready to put on a show for the fans on Carb Night."

The Carb Night Classic has long been a staple of Indianapolis 500 race week, drawing motorsports fans for an evening of high-intensity short-track racing under the lights. TJ Speed will look to convert that energy into strong results across all three entries.
