PITTSBORO, Ind. – TJ Speed Motorsports showed its determination and speed this past Fourth of July weekend at the historic Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, leaving with a podium, a top-five, and a hard-fought top-10 finish on the 2.258-mile, 13-turn road course.

In race one, Ariel Elkin put in a strong drive after lining up second on the grid, converting his front-row start into a second-place finish on the technical and rolling hills Mid-Ohio circuit. Elkin’s consistent pace across the 30-lap run helped secure valuable championship points. Teammate Sebastian Manson impressed with one of the biggest comeback drives of the day, surging from 16th on the grid through Mid-Ohio’s challenging corners and elevation changes to finish ninth, one of his best results of the year so far.

Race two on Sunday brought more drama. Elkin fought hard against a tightly packed field, bringing home a solid fifth-place finish to continue his consistent championship run. Unfortunately, Manson’s race was compromised early when he sustained contact on the opening lap, forcing him to pit for repairs. After returning to the track, the damage proved too significant, and he was forced to retire despite his determination to continue.

“Mid-Ohio is one of those classic American road courses that really tests the drivers, and I’m proud of how both Ariel and Sebastian took on the challenge this weekend,” said team owner Tim Neff. “Getting a podium here is always special, and the team showed great effort all around. We’ll regroup and go for even stronger results in Toronto.”

TJ Speed Motorsports now sets its sights on the only international round of the year, preparing for the Streets of Downtown Toronto July 18–20, where the tight concrete walls and narrow corners will offer another exciting challenge.
