PITTSBORO, Ind. — TJ Speed Motorsports continued its strong 2026 USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire Championship campaign this past weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, overcoming changing weather conditions to collect multiple top-10 finishes during a busy three-race event. The team fielded its familiar two-car lineup, with Thomas Schrage and Christian Cameron taking on one of the most technical circuits on the calendar.
Schrage opened the weekend with an impressive fourth-place finish in race one after battling near the front throughout the event. Cameron also delivered a solid performance, crossing the finish line sixth to give TJ Speed Motorsports two cars inside the top-six.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, race two was postponed due to inclement weather and moved to Sunday afternoon. Schrage once again earned valuable championship points with a seventh-place finish, while Cameron added another top-10 result.
The final race of the weekend saw Schrage continue his consistency, bringing home a fifth-place finish to complete a weekend in which he finished inside the top seven in all three races. Unfortunately for Cameron, race three ended almost as soon as it began after he was collected in a lap one incident that forced his retirement.
Despite the setback, team owner Tim Neff was pleased with the overall performance of the organization after a hot and weather-challenged weekend.
"Overall, I'm proud of the effort everyone put in this weekend,” said Neff. “Thomas had another consistent event with three strong finishes, and Christian showed good speed all weekend before getting caught up in an unfortunate incident in the final race. The crew did an outstanding job adapting to the changing schedule after the weather delay, and we'll take what we learned at Mid-Ohio and continue building as we head to Portland. We're still in a great position to finish the season strong."
With momentum continuing to build and valuable points added at Mid-Ohio, the team looks forward to carrying that consistency into the closing stretch of the 2026 championship. TJ Speed Motorsports will now shift its focus west as the USF Pro 2000 Championship heads to Portland International Raceway for the next round of the season on August 6-9.
On top of closing 2026 with speed and momentum, TJ Speed is already looking forward to both the 2027 USF Pro 2000 Championship, and the Castrol Toyota Formula Oceania Championship in New Zealand.
