PITTSBORO, Ind. – TJ Speed Motorsports competed this past weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the latest rounds of the USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire championship. Held during the famed “Month of May” in Indianapolis, the event served as a key warm-up weekend ahead of the legendary Indianapolis 500 and featured competition on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
The team fielded two entries with Christian Cameron and Thomas Schrage. In qualifying, Cameron secured eighth on the grid while Schrage lined up 10th.
Race One saw Cameron deliver a strong drive through the field to finish fourth, narrowly missing out on a podium result. Schrage also showed solid pace throughout the race to secure an eighth-place finish. With overnight rain soaking the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, it was treacherous conditions, but the TJ Speed drivers handled it well to nab a pair of top-10 results and a fastest race lap for Schrage.
In Race Two, Schrage improved once again to finish seventh. Cameron was running competitively before contact sent him back to 13th place.
“Overall, it was a positive weekend for the team,” said Team Owner Tim Neff. “Christian and Thomas both showed strong pace, and we were able to come away with solid results against a very competitive field. We are excited to now head to IRP for the first oval race of the year.”
With a strong pace shown on the IMS road course, TJ Speed Motorsports looks forward to carrying that momentum into the upcoming oval challenge. TJ Speed Motorsports will now prepare for its next event at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park during Memorial Day weekend. The event will mark the first of two oval races on the 2026 schedule and another important step during the Month of May in Indianapolis.
