PITTSBORO, Ind. — TJ Speed Motorsports earned a podium finish last week at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park during the annual Carb Night Classic, marking the first oval race of the 2026 USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire championship season. The Carb Night Classic serves as one of the marquee events on the USF Pro 2000 calendar and takes place during the famed Month of May in Indianapolis ahead of the Indianapolis 500 weekend festivities.
Leading the charge for the team was Tymek Kucharczyk, who delivered an impressive drive to secure a third-place finish in the highly competitive oval event. Teammate Thomas Schrage remained in the fight near the front throughout the race and crossed the line in fourth, narrowly missing out on a second podium for the team. Christian Cameron completed the team’s lineup and finished 11th after battling through the challenging short oval conditions.

“Overall, it was a really solid weekend for our team. Tymek drove a smart and aggressive race to bring home a podium, and Thomas was right there fighting near the front all night. Oval racing always presents a unique challenge, especially in the first one of the season, so I’m proud of the way the entire team performed. We learned a lot that we can carry forward into the rest of the year.”
With momentum building after a strong oval showing, TJ Speed Motorsports heads into the next phase of the season aiming to continue its run of competitive results. TJ Speed Motorsports will now shift focus toward the next championship event at Road America, scheduled for June 18-21. The event will take place at the longest circuit on the 2026 calendar. Before then, the team will participate in a two-day test at Road America on June 10-11 as preparations continue for the upcoming race weekend.
