LEXINGTON, Ohio – Exclusive Autosport continued its push at the front of the 2026 USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire championship this past weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course as Jack Jeffers and Joey Brienza battled through a demanding triple-header. Jeffers once again showcased the pace that has kept him in championship contention, charging through the field in Race 2 to earn the pole for Race 3, breaking the race lap record previously held by NTT INDYCAR driver Rinus Veekay. Jeffers earned a pair of podium finishes in his three straight top-five results.
Brienza continued his steady progression throughout the weekend, delivering his strongest USF Pro 2000 result to date while gaining valuable experience in one of the season's most competitive events.
This was another really strong weekend for our USF Pro 2000 program," said Michael Duncalfe, Co-Owner and CEO. "Jack proved once again that he has the speed to compete for wins every time we hit the track, and breaking the race lap record while earning two podiums speaks volumes about the work our team has put in. Joey also took another important step forward with his strongest performance of the season. We leave Mid-Ohio with plenty of positives and a lot of confidence heading into Portland."
The weekend began with unofficial testing on Thursday, where the Exclusive Autosport duo focused on building a strong baseline ahead of the triple-header. Carrying that momentum into Friday's official sessions, Jeffers immediately showed the pace to contend at the front, ending practice second overall before qualifying sixth for the opening race after an ultra-competitive session that saw less than four tenths of a second separate the top six drivers. Brienza continued to make steady gains throughout the day, using practice to fine-tune his setup before qualifying 13th, putting both EA drivers in position to fight forward once the racing got underway.
Jeffers put together an impressive drive in Race 1 Saturday morning, charging from sixth on the grid to finish second, collecting his first podium of the weekend. Brienza continued to battle inside the midfield, crossing the line in 11th after receiving a post-race five-second penalty for a jumped start. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for the remainder of Saturday's schedule. Severe thunderstorms rolled through Mid-Ohio, forcing lengthy delays to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule and prompting officials to revise the remainder of the weekend, pushing the USF Pro 2000 schedule late into the day on Sunday.
Sunday featured a pair of races to conclude the Mid-Ohio weekend, beginning with the rescheduled Race 2 early in the morning. Jeffers charged from eighth on the grid to finish fourth, but it was his blistering pace that stole the headlines, as he set a new USF Pro 2000 race record with a lap of 1:15.8307, eclipsing the mark previously held by NTT INDYCAR driver Rinus VeeKay while also earning the pole position for the weekend finale. Brienza continued to gain valuable experience in the ultra-competitive field, bringing his No. 91 IU Kelley School of Business machine home in 13th. In the afternoon's Race 3, Jeffers capped off an outstanding weekend by converting his pole position into a second-place finish, securing his second podium of the event. Brienza completed his strongest USF Pro 2000 weekend to date with an eighth-place finish, giving Exclusive Autosport a positive ending to a hard-fought tripleheader at Mid-Ohio.
The team will now have three weeks off before heading to Portland International Raceway for Rounds 11 and 12 on August 6-9.
