WINDERMERE, Fla. – Leonardo Escorpioni delivered a flawless performance this past weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, completing a dominant weekend sweep in the USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire championship with Turn 3 Motorsport.

The Brazilian driver left no doubt about his pace throughout the event, claiming victory in all three races while securing pole position for both Race One and Race Two. The remarkable weekend placed Escorpioni at the top of the championship standings as the 2026 season enters its second half.

Escorpioni set the tone early by earning pole position for the opening two races of the weekend. He converted both poles into commanding victories, controlling the action from the front and maximizing valuable championship points.

The final race of the weekend presented a different challenge for the young Brazilian. Starting third on the grid, Escorpioni methodically worked his way through the field, making decisive passes before taking over the lead and completing an impressive comeback drive to secure his third victory of the weekend.

The clean sweep marked one of the most dominant performances of the 2026 USF Pro 2000 season, earning almost maximum points and giving Escorpioni control of the championship battle.

"I couldn't have asked for a better weekend,” said Leonardo. “The team gave me an incredible car from the first session, and everything came together. Winning all three races, taking two poles, and coming away with the championship lead is exactly what we were hoping to accomplish. The final race was especially satisfying because we had to fight our way through the field instead of leading from the start. A huge thank you to everyone at Turn 3 Motorsports for all of their hard work. Now we have to stay focused and keep this momentum going into Portland."

The dominant performance at Mid-Ohio gives the HMD Motorsports Junior Driver a valuable cushion at the top of the championship standings as the title fight continues through the second half of the season.

His next event will take place August 6-9 at Portland International Raceway, where Rounds 11 and 12 of the USF Pro 2000 Championship will be contested.

Following one of the most commanding weekends of his career, Escorpioni and Turn 3 Motorsports will arrive in Portland carrying significant momentum and the championship lead as they continue their pursuit of the 2026 title.
