The streets of Toronto, Ont., Canada will play host to Rounds 7 and 8 of the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires this weekend, with the Allied Building Products Grand Prix of Toronto comprising a pair of 30-minute races as part of the action-filled Honda Indy Toronto.

This evening’s sixth round of the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires, held over 90 laps at the historic Milwaukee Mile, proved to be a virtual carbon copy of the previous oval race at Lucas Oil Raceway. Series leader Matthew Brabham, from Boca Raton, Fla., qualified his #83 MAZDASPEED/Team Andretti Autosport entry comfortably on the pole and then ran away to a dominant victory.

The Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires prepares for the second and final oval race of its 2013 season this week, joining the IZOD IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights at the Milwaukee IndyFest for Round Six of the 16-race schedule. Three days of track action will commence this Thursday at the historic Milwaukee Mile oval circuit located in West Allis, Wis., with testing for the second and third levels of the Mazda Road to Indy.

For much of the evening it looked as though the weather might be the big winner in Round 5 of the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires at Lucas Oil Raceway. Fortunately, the clouds eventually parted and Matthew Brabham took full advantage, romping clear in the delayed and shortened 52-lap race to win the Visit Hendricks County “Night Before the 500” – his fourth victory in succession for Andretti Autosport.

The Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires and the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda return to racing action this week with the traditional Visit Hendricks County ‘Night Before the 500’ at Lucas Oil Raceway. Rising drivers on the first two levels of the Mazda Road to Indy will join the USAC Midget Series for a night of racing under the lights on May 25, the evening before the 97th running of the Indianapolis 500.
