Schrage and Cameron head to Mid-Ohio for Fourth of July weekend tripleheader
PITTSBORO, Ind. — TJ Speed Motorsports will field a two-car effort at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend as the USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire championship returns to the 2.258-mile circuit in Lexington, Ohio for Rounds 8, 9, and 10 of the 2026 season. Set to take place over the Fourth of July weekend, July 2–5, the tripleheader will set up a run to the end of the season as the 2026 campaign crests the halfway point.
The team arrives at Mid-Ohio with valuable momentum gathered through the first half of the season. Thomas Schrage has been a consistent point scorer across every round of the 2026 campaign, bringing his trademark racecraft to each event. Christian Cameron continues to develop round by round, with each outing adding to a growing foundation of experience and speed at the USF Pro 2000 level. Both drivers sit in the top 10 in championship points with Schrage seventh and Cameron 10th.
The Fourth of July tripleheader presents TJ Speed with back-to-back-to-back opportunities to move forward in both the drivers’ standings and as a program.
Team owner Tim Neff is looking forward to the challenge. “Mid-Ohio is a track that rewards the work you put in all week, and I think Thomas and Christian are both in a good place heading into this weekend. We’ve been building throughout the season and the speed is there. The Fourth of July weekend is a great time to put it all together and give our guys a result they’ve been working toward.”
Neff continued, “We have some upcoming opportunities for drivers looking to compete in Pro 2000 later this season as we are beginning are work for 2027. We are offering funded drivers the opportunity to try the team, try the car, and compete in the series in a low stress format to better your chances in 2027.”
