Kyle Kaiser and the World Speed team travelled to St. Petersburg Florida this past weekend to contest rounds three and four of the Pro Mazda Championship. The 1.8 mile track marked the first street course for Kyle, currently the youngest racer in the Pro Mazda field.

Team Pelfrey traveled the few miles from its shop in Clearwater to the Allied Building Products Grand Prix of St. Petersburg with high expectations after winning on the demanding 1.8-mile, 14-turn street circuit in each of the past two years. Unfortunately, both Spencer Pigot and Petri Suvanto struggled to find front-running pace in their pair of Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires entries and had to be content with two fourth-place finishes.

No one could touch Matthew Brabham on the downtown streets of St. Petersburg. The 19-year-old third-generation racer – grandson of three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jack Brabham and son of sports car champion Geoff – won both legs of the Allied Building Products Grand Prix of St. Petersburg to claim a commanding lead after four rounds of the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires.
